Our experienced, board-certified therapists use evidenced-based, clinical music therapy techniques to help clients work through emotional obstacles, enhance self-knowledge, and develop a deeper connection to themselves and the world around them.

WHO WE ARE
Music Therapy Montclair founder and lead therapist Christopher Mills, MA, MT-BC holds a bachelors degree from Northwestern University, a masters degree in Music Therapy from New York University, and national certification from the Certification Board for Music Therapy.
​
He has received training at The Rebecca School in Manhattan, the outpatient adult psychiatric day program at North Central Bronx Hospital, and at the Louis Armstrong Center for Music and Medicine at Beth Israel Hospital in New York City - specializing in adult palliative care and adult music psychotherapy.
​
He has received advanced training in NICU music therapy, and music psychotherapy, and spent over four years working as lead music therapist in the Pediatric ICU, Neonatal ICU, and Epilepsy Monitoring Unit at the Joseph M. Sanzari Hospital at Hackensack University Medical Center.
​
He has been working in private practice since 2022.
